Does ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ have a post-credits scene?

Ghostbusters: Ice Menace has a post-credits scene, or rather, a mid-credits scene. This is more of a comedy segment than an unmissable preview of what the next Ghostbusters movie will be. The protagonists of the scene are the Marshmellow Men, now a recurring gag of the franchise, and they became Gozer’s minions in Ghostbusters: Legacy. While individually more adorable than dangerous, as a group, they prove formidable.

In the film, one of several subplots sees the ice demon Garraka communicate with ghosts in the vicinity of his prison, causing an increase in supernatural activity throughout New York City. After the resolution of the Garraka threat, the mid-credits scene of “Ghostbusters: Ice Age” takes us to a truck stop, where a truck driver leaves his vehicle parked at a gas pump to make a break. The truck begins to move away on its own, with the truck driver making a mad dash to catch up with it. It turns out the Marshmallow Men have turned to car theft, and as the group of demonic snacks work together to wildly drive off in the truck, one of them opens the cigarette lighter and uses it to burn his face, having fun.

The Ghostbusters: Phantom Menace film is positioned as the sequel/reboot to 2021’s Ghostbusters, “Ghostbusters: Legacy,” which has embraced the trend of major franchises to include post-credits scenes. “Ghostbusters: Legacy” offered two fun reveals for fans, including the return to the status quo of the new Ghostbusters operating out of the team’s classic New York headquarters.

Ghostbusters: Ice Menace hits theaters on March 29th!
